Compilation fails using C++11 due to narrowing conversion

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Compile alembic using clang++ or gcc on OSX. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Alembic should compile, but will not due to narrowing conversion errors in 
Scene.cpp

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Alembic Version 1.1.5. OSX 10.8.4

Please provide any additional information below.
The attached patch solves the problem.
