Feature Request - NDI Sending #18

Open Harvey3141 opened 7 years ago

Harvey3141 commented 7 years ago

Hello,

Sending the Camera over NDI either using the Game Viewport or via a SceneCapture2D component would be really useful. Similar to how the Unreal Spout plugin works

https://github.com/AleDel/Spout-UE4

Thanks,

Harvey

Thanks Harvey, NDI output is already on the to-do list. It is scheduled for 4.19, but will likely arrive much sooner.

This is a really great news, so it means that there will be a native output framework ? (media framework maybe?)

Hi,

Is it possible to use the NDI UE4 plugin, to send video out to like an external player ie: VLC player?

Not quite sure how to use this, but I'm looking for an RTSP video server to send video out of UE4...

LightAct commented 6 years ago

Lightact v3.0.4 now enables NDI streaming. This allows you to use it with UE4 as well.

Check out this tutorial, if you are interested.

To make this work, you'll also need Spout-UE4 plugin available on our Github page.

so this feature never arrived huh

gmpreussner commented 4 years ago

I no longer work on this plug-in - it is now obsolete. You should use Newtek's official NDI plug-in for UE4 that just came out a couple weeks ago. It works very well: https://ndi.tv/sdk/

L05 commented 4 years ago

Was just about to respond similarly. I can confirm that it works very well.

@L05 @gmpreussner thank you both! I really works smooth, but can't figure out how to send image with alpha. Any help? NDIMediaSender doesn't have any "send with alpha" ticks
