Bug in sort by date #262

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
1. Click "By Project"
2. Click "+" next to TCGA_2011. The project expands properly.
3. Click the "Date" column to sort. Instead of sorting just the TCGA_2011 one,
it expands all projects and sends me to the top which is an irrelevant project.

In general, sort by date does not work in very intuitive ways right now. This
is my preferred method of finding my recent libraries.

I could probably see how to set the "secondary sorting" by date within a group
(TCGA_2011 project in your example). That is, when you click "+" to expand the
project, the entries inside the project are going to appear sorted by date in
reverse chronological order.

Natalia says this is a very hard fix with GXT , so we will make this a low
priority.
