Get database server up and connected to HPCC nodes #39

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
We purchased a high end database server to store TCGA bisulfite-seq datasets.
We have had trouble getting HPCC to allow access from individual cluster nodes,
even though we cleared this with Maureen ahead of time. Now TCGA data is coming
through and we need this to be operational?

Zack, please let me know status of this and what we need, and I can follow up
with Maureen.

Maureen has again been reminded about our DB needs, the ball is in their court.
This is one of many requests we have for them (GPFS is probably a much priority
and complexity, plus they dont have much man-power), so unfortunately, we may
have to wait a while.

I havent forgotten about this, we'll keep reminding maureen, although this is
probably a low priority for her compared to our gpfs storage deployment
