replace sample search widget with a text field+button #613

Recently we changed the logic of how the search widget works: search starts 
after the enter key is hit. To avoid user confusion need replace the existing 
search widget with the combination of a text field  and  "Search" button.

change the default text to something like "Search your samples...(hit enter to 
submit)
