Have a matric for the basic run parameter "Run Type"

Would like to have a metric called "Run Type that says like 50 SR, 100 PE, etc. 
 This info is not in a specific field but I'm imagining the metric checking 
various places and putting the info together

There is "RunParam_Read1" metric in Unused view that looks like a read length 
to me. I am not sure if I'm right about it though.. And there is a "Protocol" 
metric in Summary view that shows if the run is SE or PE. I could try to 
combine those together.

Yes that's a good idea, combine RunParam_Read1 with the protocol, but not
the spelled out protocol, just PE or SR.  That'll be perfect!
