migrate webapp to new VM

I acquired a hosted VM from the cancer center. It should be a much better 
solution then what we're doing currently. faster, easier to administer, CC will 
supply machine level admin, management and full snapshot backups etc. I'm very 
excited about it (10gbE !).

Natalia will be taking the lead on this new VM and work on making ecdp and its 
dependencies run on it. In addition, we will make www.epigenome run there as 
well. this will host our web presence and Natalia will be responsible for day 
to day functioning of it.

machine/low level problems should be reported to CC IT, they are very motivated 
to help us make this a successful model. 

considering the existing epifire1 is ancient, unsupported, and way past EOL, 
this is a high priority.

LDAPS (TLS) wasnt working correctly though init.d. was working fine through cmd 
line slapd though.

to enable TLS in slapd for port 636 SSL
make sure certs are set in slapd.conf (maybe need to run a make slapd.pem"

in /etc/sysconfig/ldap
make sure SLAPD_LDAPS=yes

this last one was confusing, because i didnt expect slapd related details to be 
in /etc/sysconfig/ldap
