GOt it!  Jeez and I even looked carefully at the file because I expected
that to be the problem.  Sort of right I guess.  Thanks a lot!

The good news is that it wont happen again since now I check the name when you 
submit the workflow at hpcc with 
submitWorkflow.pl workflowparams.txt

if the param name does not match the pattern it will let you know and fail.
