can't get 16 node even though they are free #802

Tried from work around 5 and home around 9:30, enter the command and it just 
sits there

yes, because you are asking for a walltime that is longer then available before 
the scheduled downtime.

the downtime is about 100 hours away, so you need to ask for less time then 
that.
