For five years, VIVO has been operated by the UF CTSI, first as an NIH project, and then as an effort led by Dr. Conlon and supported by CTS IT with funding from the CTSI and the Office of Research.
CTSI would like to move beyond a limited VIVO based on the resources currently available, to an enterprise VIVO based on a multi-provider team involving the Office of Research, Library, Provost, Health Center, and others.
As part of the conversation, alternatives for ingest and data management will be considered, including possible use of back-end software to support VIVO.
This issue will track progress in the exploration of enterprise status for VIVO.
