Thanks for your contribution. I did not merge this PR but picked a few commits from it. The reasons for not merging:

The layer elements implementation for textures crashed for me (I fixed textures too with e1ba299 and 850d8c8a)
You indent with spaces but I used tabs
The readme contains links to your repo
