Is it possible to make at least some of links similar?

UPD: updated on 14.05.21.

We have several kind of download links for different reasons:

1) ugene.net - it is part of the web site. We can store any kind of data here (images/small read-only docs).

2) github.com: we host our release packages on GitHub starting from v 34.

3) B2 links: we store big old releases/youtube videos today (pre-github) for free (today). Later we can start paying for this hosting and add more data there..

4) archive.ugene.net - here we host 100Gb+ data for NGS tools for free. This is old and outdated data. I see no future for these data sets unless someone will volunteer to support that tools/datasets.

5) drive.google.com/drive/folders/ - here we store small individual downloadable documents. We use it by historical reasons.

6) ugeneunipro.github.io - there should be no such links anymore.

Finally IMO we should have only github & b2 links, but this task is out of scope (has too low priority) today. The main goal today is to have all links working for users.

Based on the message "Error configuring NCBI Taxonomy to use with Metagenomics workflow" from our email, the NGS data is still being downloaded. What is required of a volunteer to support that tools/datasets?

We are not producers for that data: this data has its original location. First, I think it would be good if the data is downloaded from the original sources.

Next, we have different NGS data-sets and some of these data-sets are for tools that are not supported/fixed/updated by the original authors. IMO there is no reason to support such complex and not popular workflows for us today as long with their data.

A volunteer should check all the tools, decide which data is valid and is not and find a better way/server to make it downloadable for users.
