Workflow:

  1. Set a calendar in the preferences
  2. Press shortcut to show the "Pomodoro Name" dialog
  3. Press down to see a list of todos in calendar X and to chose one item
  4. Press enter to start the pomodoro

Basically do you mean to choose the pomodoro name from calendar events with some keyword in the name?

AlexanderWillner commented 13 years ago

I think there is no need to use a keyword. Just calendar events from a given calendar.

But without a @todo keyword you could choose for name the very same message of the last pomodoro: recursive :) and potentially confusing, don't you think?

You should either use two different calendars (one for todos and one for time tracking) or differentiate VEVENTS and VTODOS. Example workflow:

  1. Create an iCal calendar that doesn't contain anything
  2. Add your tasks to the calendar (e.g. by the Things.app sync feature)
  3. Process all these tasks in this list (e.g. by using Minco.app or Pomodoro.app)
  4. Have a look at you calendar to see for which todo you've spent which amount of time

I am integrating with Things and OmniFocus, which is cleaner, just now. We'll see if this is still needed
