Fixes to path mismatches, which prevented successful training
Fixes to couple of errors and warnings (switched awk to gawk, because of too long utterances, which awk could not handle).
Added checks for file existence to make reruns faster

Thanks for the contribution, very much appreciated! Looking good, but could you move the files to a different directory instead of deleting them?
