Thank you for this, Annika! I was thinking of this in view of infection prevention control, as we (most likely helpers in practice) need to check if the one who comes has actually signed up and was offered a seat. I remember that there is an issue about GDPR when it comes to printing a list of participants from pindena. But my understanding is that if we clearly describe the purpose of the data use, who handles and have access to the data, where the data is stored, and how long it will be stored, and the participants consent to this, it is fine. At least in this semester, we need to follow https://www.uio.no/english/about/hse/corona/guidelines/infection-prevention-guide.html#2-3-4 the 4th bullet "An overview must be kept of who is present". So I think the workshop attendee list (with names of those who should be attending) should be provided by either of us right before the workshop, and helper checks attendees against the list.
Alternatively, for the fall term, we can print out the Pindena lists and have helpers check attendance. Since it is mandatory due to COVID-19 regulations, I don't think it becomes a GDPR issue. And we are not keeping those lists for anything other than that anyways.
So should we change the suggestion to '- [ ] Take attendance using the workshop attendance check list provided by local coordinator' ?
In such a case, should I merge this pull request and suggest a new change, right?
Sounds like a good solution! Yes!
I updated the old sign-up sheet to an attendance list. We want to take actual attendance and know who's there and who skipped the workshop without telling us as a measure to reduce no-shows. I added a short statement in the attendance list about what we are using the personal data (names) for.
We need to print a couple of these lists and put them in the equipment box in NHA209
