Search term doesn't persist in the input field when clicking a tag #44

At some point I introduced a regression that removed a clicked tag from being placed in the input field.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click any icon in any view (category/home/doesn't matter)
  2. Click on a tag ("#academics" for example)
  3. Note that "academics" is not in the search bar
