4.x - Additional button work #724

Future work:

[ ] Remove medium option and make it the default.
- [ ] Change the large and small modifiers to use css variables, calc the size.
[ ] Add the option to align the icon left.
[x] Remove serif option

It appears as though the button mixins are only being used in the button SCSS file. Can we get rid of the mixins and just have the bttn CSS right in the the button SCSS file? This extra layer is always confusing.
