Good evening @uit-inf-3203/students, I hope you've all got the power back!

Here's a list of students and questions sent in by Ida for her presentation on Consistency-based service level agreements for cloud storage on Monday Thursday 12.2.

  1. Why doesn’t Pileus provide Consistency-Based SLAs for PUT operations? Christian Vik
  2. High availability is substantial for clients using cload storage today, but why doesn’t Pileus integrate availability services into their Consistency-Based SLAs? Stian Sjøli
  3. If none of the Consistency-Based subSLAs are met then no data will be returned in the Pileus system, which means that some applications may never get their reads. How can this problem be avoided without having to sacrifice the last subSLA? Mats Sørensen
  4. System configuration is the same for all experiments in this paper, with primary datacenters in England, secondary datacenters in the U.S and India, and clients running in the same datacenters as well as a client running in China. Are these four countries adequate when evaluating Pileus and their Consistency-Based SLAs on a global scale? Ruben Mæland

Ida is presenting Consistency-based service level agreements for cloud storage on Thursday 12.2 next week. Christian, Stian, Mats and Ruben should prepare accordingly.
