Animations upon data source array update (element deletion) #324

In my app I can remove an item in the carousel by pressing a button in the item. When I remove the item, focus is simply instantly set to the next item. I'd like for the space to be cleared, and then for the next item in line to slide into the removed item's place. Is this possible, or would it require extension?

Any help or input is appreciated.
