Oversight: When forming the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, cores are given on all territory except Elbing in West Prussia #117

When Poland becomes a GP, it receives an event which gives it cores on Silesia, Posen and most of West Prussia, but not Elbing (Elbing is not a Pomerelia core either, its only core being for Prussia). Since Poland has no core on it, it's returned to Prussia in the postwar event to return non-core provinces, unless Poland is not being played by an AI and the human chooses to keep all territory.

When the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth is formed cores are given on East Prussia, Lithuania, Pinsk, Minsk, Kiev, Orsha and Latvia. But cores are not given on Elbing and Elbing is not required for the formation, which means that Germany can have a one-province Elbing in the middle of Poland-Lithuania or, at best, Poland keeps Elbing when it conquers West Prussia and just never gets a core on it (unless they can manage to make it Polish-majority and do so through core propogation).

I think the easiest way to solve this is just to ensure the event that gives Poland cores in Germany gives them a core in Elbing too, even if that doesn't necessarily perfectly match post-WWI Polish borders.

With that said, however, I think an alternate way to solve it would just be to remove the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth entirely, and that's the option I actually prefer. Poland-Lithuania was created under a very specific set of circumstances which no longer applied in the 19th century, and it was broken up very messily. The Lithuanians were also major skeptics in the union, both at the time of its collapse and, especially, upon their independence in 1918, and it doesn't make much sense that the Lithuanians would agree to the Commonwealth or become Accepted within it, and without their support it's not precisely the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth anymore. A Fascist Poland might be able to get cores on East Prussia and Lithuania, but I think the Commonwealth itself is extremely anachronistic.

Poland and the PLC already gets cores on Elbing if they dismantle Germany/NGF/SGF/Prussia. It is also possible for the PLC to have cores that look like, well, this. image

That's somewhat late, though, if you're just conquering the cores you have by default. And it means that a Poland-Lithuania which conquers Ostpreussen would leave a one-province Elbing behind until they could dismantle Germany outright and get the core on it.

At any rate, I do still prefer the idea of just removing the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth entirely as a better solution.
