500 Server Error when using common words #122

Redundant, though.

Pre-Alpha which is going to be next Alpha works fine:

No - this was found on pre-alpha. I just used alpha for example.

I cannot reproduce that error. One of versions could be UKWA-UI redeployment at your testing time, which has delays.

Reproduced on alpha with "a". I doubt the issue is this application, it will be an intermittent thing, probably at the solr end.

But the end user should not be seeing 500 errors, which we should assume are meaningless to them.

I think this is a longstanding bug which probably needs design input to determine wording so I'll raise it for review.
