So far i have identified the following Categories in which we can start finding creative ideas:

General Setting

The Game is situated in an underwater-setting (deep sea). A NUCULAR plant near the coast suffered a breakdown and core melt due to an unfortunate natural disaster . Two years after the breakdown, a strange creature is washed ashore a beach in . After an analysis, it turns out that the creature is unknown to meankind, but shows some similarity to jellyfish in its DNA. In the next two months, more and more creatures are washed ashore and even injured a few people (toxic/acidic/radiating). A team of scientists gathers to examine the phenomenon, and traces the origin of the appearings to be a crater near said powerplant in deep sea. The crater has never been explored. The team sets up a mission with a recent developed type of submarine (with basic defense capabilities), but little did they know what was awaiting him below the water surface...

We could group levels into the layers of deep sea, which also gives a color scheme to the levels Epipelagic - Mesopelagic - Bathypelagic - Abyssopelagic - Hadopelagic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_sea
