I also like to remove silkscreen :)
However, I use the silkscreen to add some useful text. I generally put this in a user layer.
Anyway, it would be great if your tool could also remove silkscreen lines from the footprint.
I would remove everything from the package silkscreen and only add what I want on F.Silkscreen.
