Hi,

as far as I can see here:

https://tug.org/pipermail/tex-live/2021-February/046450.html

and here

https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/factory@lists.opensuse.org/thread/L3D2VQS75T35PZNXF4PUQPTBEJSANWWX/

lilyglyphs will no longer be distributed with openSuse and Debian. Both replace python2 with python3 and maybe your package depends on python2...

Well, Urs has already incorporated the necessary patches into the git repository; hopefully he finds some time to make a new release soon.

Will this ever make it into release? The merging of the Python3 changes into the mainline is a small fix that would allow TexLive to once again include the package into their repository for Ubuntu. Please merge this change into the mainline and release.

Urs released 0.2.4 on CTAN in September 2020, with Python 3 fixes! I didn't notice this earlier, sorry. It's just that there is no corresponding tag in the git repository.

In other words, distributions should take the archive from CTAN.
