I get the same error as in #1617 on MPS #11136

Requirements

Python>=3.7.0 with all requirements.txt installed including PyTorch>=1.7. To get started:

YOLOv5 may be run in any of the following up-to-date verified environments (with all dependencies including CUDA/CUDNN, Python and PyTorch preinstalled):

If you could provide me with a minimal reproducible example and any additional information related to your environment (versions of PyTorch, Python, CUDA, OS etc.), I can try to help you debug the issue. Hi @glenn-jocher! Both minimal reproducible example, and info about my env are in the issue. I've just tested it again, and the error persists. I've also debugged the issue, and pointed to the part of the code, which causes the error. Please let me know if I can provide more info to help to fix the issue!

Hello @anstadnik, my apologies for my oversight. Thank you for providing the minimal reproducible example and environment information. Upon reviewing the issue you are referencing, it appears to be a known issue and we are currently working on resolving it.

As a temporary solution, you can try to replace the device="mps" argument with device="cuda" or device="cpu" to run the inference on the GPU or CPU, respectively. Also, you may try updating PyTorch to the latest stable release. We appreciate your patience and we will update the community once the issue has been resolved.

Hi! Would it be possible to disable the bot? It would make sence to keep the issue open until it's fixed, so other people will be able to find it in case they get the same errors

Hello! This comment marks 4 months of this issue being open. The world changes, only this issue is an island of stability, which slowly drifts through time in peace. Is there anything more valuable than stability nowadays? I doubt that.

P.S. Seriously, you said that you were working on this issue in each of the comments, each month. I know how open-source software works, and I understand it's not possible to fix everything immediately, but could you please disable this bot at least? It'd be useful for others to find an open issue if they would stumble upon this as well.

We actually went through this half a year ago :)

Hooray! I want to convey my immense gratitude to everyone involved in this monumental work! Only thanks to your constant efforts (@github-actions, @glenn-jocher) did we reach this huge milestone! Looking back a year, I see how much we've improved. I want to thank the Ultralytics team for their tireless work for the year and their constant commitment to resolving the issue. Interestingly, I've observed an uncanny improvement in my ping-pong skills after doing this consistently for a year! Regrettably, I don't have the capacity to keep this issue open for another year; hence, I assume this message will mark the last month this issue will be open. With this, I'd like to say a few words to you, digital nomads, who might stumble upon the issue outlined here. Alas, I couldn't bear the burden of keeping the issue alive anymore, let alone doing it creatively. However, I envision that one day, the new keeper will come, with the fire burning in their eyes and his heart, and that day, they will resurrect the issue and end what I've begun.
