Better explanation of cleint-server usages and logic

I've had some email threads (attached) with Andrew Liu about what it is that 
remoteManager subclasses do, how, and why, and also about how to configure 
them.  There seems to be a good chunk of stuff that wouldn't fit in the class 
documentation pages but is certainly worth explaining.

So I should incorporate Andrew's questions and some answers into the docs 
somewhere else, perhaps a remote manager guide page.

This will be easier to explain now that transactions are all happening 
synchronously.  I still need to do it, though.

This issue will be addressed in version 1.0, with the redesign on remote 
behaviors and removal of manager singletons.
