Not everybody have twitter or osm account, at least in the way that i use uMap, for enabling teams of hundred of people to share geographic information ( where they live, where they work, etc )

This is not the choice of uMap as a software, but the choice of the people managing an instance.

Regarding the French instance, I'm specifically against adding Google and Facebook, because we can't fight for open maps in one hand, and in the other hand help those giants control the Internet.

That said, one can set up a uMap instance and add which Oauth provider their are comfortable with. ;)

@Yohan I do not agree with your vision. To help "people" contribute to the transition we should facilitate them the access to open resources, for example by permit them to use their google or facebook accounts. Like this they can easily explore the "free" face of the digital world.

@baditaflorin Did you succeed adding facebook on your local server? If yes, can you post instructions?

Is it enough to add those settings to the local.py it do I have to patch umap, for example to provide a Facebook logo, Db tables and such?
