Add version information or last edit date to documentation #115

I'm new to Umbraco and one of the things I struggle with the most is identifying which version of Umbraco various docs apply to.

If there will not be separate documentation for each version would it be possible to tag or label documentation pages with the versions they cover?

It could be similar to the compatibility report that already exists on the projects pages. Another option would be to add version specific sections to each page. (similar to the upgrade page http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/Upgrading/version-specific)

Even adding the date that it was last updated would be great because we could see if it's been updated since the latest release.

Hi A lot of topic include version information. If you did not found version information, it should work on all versions. Which page(s) did not include version information? Kind regards

Thanks @dampee!

This is the page that I got stuck on most recently. http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Using-Umbraco/Backoffice-Overview/Data-Types/

I was specifically looking for information about the Multinode Tree Picker which seems slightly different in 7.0.1 than it is here.

I clicked around a bit to see if I could find other version-less examples and was unsuccessful. It's possible that in the heights of my frustration I overlooked some of the version information (in which case, sincere apologies!) It's also possible that and any issues I experienced have already been fixed by the work in progress nature of the documentation (in which case sincere thanks!)

With that said, I would still find it helpful to see the date/time that as page was last updated.

Best

Hi there, Thank you so much for submitting this request! 😁

As it's quite old by now, I'm gonna close down the request. I realize we haven't yet implementing a last updated date, but it'd definitely be a great thing to have! I'll make sure to have a new request for this made up, in the near future!
