"Dropdown" problem on iOS #485

We've had two emails about problems with "drop-downs". Although neither of them have responded to requests for more information.

I’m sorry to bother you but the autocomplete drop-downs on the PVTRACK app have been broken for a couple weeks? I know you have to select from the drop-downs but they’re impossible to click, and as a result the app is nigh unusable in some contexts.

The drop down menu isn’t letting me select anything. Definitely a bug, please fix it ASAP. Thank you so much

That "Sent from my iPhone" is the only clue we have about the platform/version in question. But perhaps worth someone who has an iOS device tapping around a bit?

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad. I can do this. My suspicion is that they're talking about the Plan Trip dropdown.

We confirmed the problem on @Chauce's iPhone. The trip planing dialogs don't accept taps, and so the location can't be filled-in. We also noticed that the taps actually "fall through" to the app interface below it. That is, if you tap on the drop-down above where the "Search for Buses" menu is, it'll activate that menu. Some sort of z-index problem?

OH I understand what you're describing now. Still an issue with the changes from #487.

Not trying to sound like a broken record, I just want to document how often folks are emailing us about it, so we can gauge the impact

I'm going to jump in and try my hand at this ... I've actually got an iPhone. It's an older one (iPhone6) but I think having the physical phone will be helpful.
