I would like a tweak that forces all of the lava lakes and Dinnerlava pockets in the overworld to generate below y = 54, thus preventing them from appearing on the surface. This tweak, in addition to being useful for players who simply don't like lava on the surface, would prevent the forest fires caused by lava lakes/falls appearing on the surface, which leave ugly floating tree bits everywhere, and can cause lag in jungle biomes and similarly dense modded biomes.
y = 54 was chosen to be ten levels below sea level so that, even in a spot of land exactly on sea level, and factoring in the area of air that generated above lava lakes, they would never be exposed to the surface. You can choose any y coordinate you feel is fitting.
Note that Dinnerlava doesn't exist in the overworld; it refers specifically to single block hidden pockets of lava in the Nether added in the 1.5 cycle to discourage strip mining for quartz.
