for forking in the UNIX shell only

When reviewing my code changes, please focus on:
*NIX compatibility of installed components:
- mutt, lynx, hash comands (varied in every distro)

Status:
Flooding vulnerability (Status: Source exists, publicity halted)

After the review, I'll merge this branch into:
/trunk
