The 'U' in the name is actually a "µ" so that would usually be called "micro" and not "you". So I call it micro-wizgee (sounds like micro-whiskey). I also know about a 100 developers in IBM that call it this way...
I have to admit, most people react very positively to "micro whiskey". Some prefer "micro whisky", but as we talk about pronunciation, it does not matter. Talking about uWSGI (to prevent confusion).
My proposal to add instructions about possible pronunciation to the docs was meant seriously. With babies, we select names carefully as it partially affects their destiny. With unclear pronunciation, the very first feeling when thinking about the baby will be confusion and uncertainty. uWSGI deserves better destiny.
The first time I heard somebody pronounced it like "micro-whisk(e)y", I did not get it at all... But nowdays it makes sense to pronounce it like that, trying to be aware of course whether the intended recipient understood it all right.
The doc explains, how to pronounce nginx, but not it's own name uWSGI.
Explaining that (best in very first chapter) in doc would resolve the trickiest part of working with this excellent solution.
