Automated policy execution #16

Open nissimsan opened 5 months ago

nissimsan commented 5 months ago

Rough demo for policy execution against a dpp graph, automated based on one or more workflow(s) and policy definition(s).

NancyNor commented 5 months ago

Nis, I saw that your dpp graph included a mining permit. would it be helpful to ground this example in a bc gov mining permit VC to a met coal mine as the start of a steel supply chain?

nissimsan commented 5 months ago

(Copied over from the meeting chat) Jo Spencer What we're talking about is a supply chain point governance graph that defines what's required at that point. The rules need to define the list of credentials, issued by a number of issuers and attribute specifics required to successfully process / progress the supply chain activity

nissimsan commented 5 months ago

Hey @NancyNor, ultimately yes. I don't know when I'll be diving in and make updates.

Note that you can point my tool at any starting point VC and build out the graph (using those digitalProductPassport relatedLinks I showed) by including the URL to the starting point DPP like this:
https://dpp.ni5.io?{{dpp verifiable credential url}}

For example, this is the graph I presented: https://dpp.ni5.io?https:/platform.transmute.industries/credentials/urn:transmute:credential:af177d8a-6141-4a3e-b24a-3296ae5eea30

Please feel free to try this! You can start from "higher up" the supply chain too, say the MTR, and just render the upstream graph from there. If you produce this, I'd love to "hook in" on that graph branch, starting from the DPP - that would be a little interoperability demonstration in itself!

@nissimsan, please push demo forward. Then discuss amongst the group if in scope.
