5 years ago Some topics we'll want to touch on:
- introducing yourself to git (if not done already)
- forking a repo
- cloning to your computer
- building a package locally (? or is this part of #6?)
- making changes to a package, i.e. making a bingo card
- committing changes
- pushing changes
- submitting a pull request
- dealing with merge conflicts? This one is complicated, so do we want to do
- merge conflicts with yourself, make a change locally and one on Github, then recover?
- if merge conflicts come up with the PRs, maybe managing conflicts centrally, on a main projector
- fetching upstream changes
I think this is topic 1 for the day, getting started with git and Github. Sounds like we'll probably work with Jenny's bingo package.
