May I ask how is the second-order invariant of strain rate(function: fn.tensor.second_invariant)in underworld2.13 calculated？ #690

In the three-dimensional case, the strain rate tensor has three invariants, and it is obvious to use the second invariant to represent the strain rate. But in the two-dimensional case, where the strain rate tensor has only two invariants, is the second invariant of the strain rate the last invariant or the average of the first and second invariants?
