Have a good break ! See ya :)
Okay, back in the chair. Hope everyone is well :)
Welcome back! Hope you enjoyed your well deserved break! I've forked your repo during hiatus and generated several clonelist for English Translation ROMs Collection (2023) downloaded from https://archive.org/details/En-ROMs. Glad Retool can adapt to so many different sets, including those unknown/unsorted ones :-)

Ah cool, awesome to see some expanded use 😁

Hmm... in my experience Retool does not like those DATs, mainly because they use the wrong tags by default; using <machine>
instead of <game>
, and also sometimes (for systems using discs) bundling a whole heap of entries under a single "Discs" entry, each using the <disk>
tag... which Retool strips out completely.
Hi all,
I'm taking a vacation shortly. It's a big one, as I haven't had a proper break in years.
As a consequence, Retool and its clone lists won't be updated from September until the end of November. If all goes to plan you should start seeing updates again in December.
Retool automatically detects clones where titles are named predictably, so it's pretty good at picking up new clones as they're added to DATs. The program itself should continue to work just fine as Redump and No-Intro update their DATs, so long as the DAT format itself doesn't change (which happens from time to time).
The lack of clone list updates, however, means you will notice clones with unpredictable names slip through the cracks as time goes on, especially in chaotic, frequently updated DATs like NES from No-Intro. For most other systems, I find people usually start posting issues about two months after the last clone list update. Given this is a three month hiatus, I'm sure I'll have a lot to look into when I get back.
Do keep posting issues and making pull requests while I'm gone, and I'll check in on them on my return.
Thanks for your support,
