The remote itself still needs wifi to communicate with IP devices since it is "the brain" and not the dock like with similar products. The dock is currently only used to receive and send IR signals. But a direct wifi or bluetooth connections between the dock and the remote as a backup would still be interesting when you router is not working.
Is there an existing issue for this?
Description
Hi, I felt in love with this remote control but unfortunately I cannot use it with the intended operation: I turn off the wifi most of the time, so would it be possible for the remote control to communicate directly with the dock (used like an access point?) which will be wired via Ethernet?
