Feedback for soft buttons #305

Is there an existing issue for this?

Description

Lightly touching a soft button will trigger the action associated with that soft button but there is no feedback other than the action being taken. Touching a soft button longer still results in the same action for that button but the soft button flashes white which is a very good feedback. My feature request is that the soft button should flash white for ANY touch even if it is a very light touch. This way the user will be given feedback that the soft button had been activated and does not have to depend on the associated soft button action to determine if the soft button was truly activated.

If you turn on haptic feedback you at least get a little (still far too little) feedback from the remote. I heard that this could theoretically be adjusted in a future update. But a visual feedback would also be a good addition.

I have had haptic feedback on from day one but never noticed anything. So I just gave it a try while specifically feeling for the feedback and it's there but so minimal that its barely noticeable! I can understand keeping the haptic feedback low which will keep battery usage low but flashing the soft button white should not use extra battery and would be much better feedback.

So I hope my suggestion may be incorporated into R2 in the future.
