Roon integration loses connection to Roon Core #332

Is there an existing issue for this?

Description

While the Roon integration works in principle in my setup, it seems to disconnect/ freeze after about 10 minutes and then needs about 15-20 seconds to reconnect. When this happens the extension in the Roon settings disappears and reappears again. Looking at the attached log file it seems that about every 10 minutes the Roon Core is unpaired and then paired again.

How to Reproduce

  1. Start Roon and Roon integration
  2. Roon integration works fine and shows album art and track progress on the remote
  3. After about 10 minutes the screen does not update anymore (album art becomes smaller and is not updated and track progress disappear). In the Roon interface, the Unfolded Circle Extension disappears completely.
  4. After about 15-20 seconds, the extension appears again and the integration screen on the remote is updated again

Setting the Roon activity to "prevent sleep" does not change that behavior.

Expected behavior

Roon integration should be running without disconnecting about every 10 minutes. Log files attached.

I am still facing this issue. To rule out that it is an issue with my Roon Core I installed the Roon server software on a different computer but that did not solve the issue. Any help would be appreciated. At the moment the integration is essentially unusable for me.

Roon Integration is also useless for me, but for slightly different circumstance: integration worked for several weeks on initial setup of remote before it disconnected and commands on remote returned "bad request", no more album art, no control. Getting into web config and deleting/re-adding integration often helps reset it but not always. It will function for 2-3 days before dropping again. I've had the remote setup for approx 3 months now. I've rebooted countless times, updated, assigned static IP addresses to remote and base, morning helps.

Have you checked what is happening in Roon? When my remote loses connection, the Roon integration extension disappears in Roon. Are you seeing the same behaviour?

I have checked and the extension is present in Roon and it shows as connected.
