[bug] ApplkeTV Integration requires a reboot of remote every time #335

Is there an existing issue for this?

Description

AppleTV integration requires a reboot of remote to work.

Likely related to https://github.com/unfoldedcircle/feature-and-bug-tracker/issues/160 and https://github.com/unfoldedcircle/feature-and-bug-tracker/issues/176 and https://github.com/unfoldedcircle/feature-and-bug-tracker/issues/237 but not reported with this particular symptom.

How to Reproduce

  1. Activate AppleTV integration as an activity.
  2. Soft buttons do not respond. Hard buttons do nor respond.
  3. Reboot remote.
  4. Soft buttoms respond, hard don't.
  5. Exit AppleTV integration, press some hard buttons, return ... AppleTV integration works.

Expected behavior

AppleTV integration should work without rebooting and without exiting and switching acitivites first.

System version

1.6.10

These issues should be all fixed with the 1.7.x firmware. We'll release a 1.7.5 patch release for the Apple TV integration by tomorrow. The 1.7.4 firmware contains an invalid metadata file, which can make the integration non-operational, and a workaround for an Apple TV standby handling issue. Therefore I suggest waiting for the 1.7.5 firmware.
