Open churchofnoise opened 3 weeks ago

churchofnoise commented 3 weeks ago

Is there an existing issue for this?

Description

Since updating the Dock firmware this morning, I cannot connect to the dock anymore. The handheld is still connected to the network and approachable via the web config (but the dock is not).

How to Reproduce

  1. Add a password (prompted by the update to the Home Assistant integration)
  2. Update the Dock firmware to 0.10.0
  3. Go to the Web Config
  4. Try to alter settings
  5. Get message "Connection to dock not established"
  6. (Home Assistant integration also stops working)

Expected behavior

Dock to work

System version

1.7.14

What part of the system affected by the problem?

Overall system

Additional context

I've reset the dock (physically, by pushing the button at the bottom with a paperclip for 10 sec as indicated). Afterwards, there were 5 red flashes of the led, then a longer turning into orange, and finally a couple of white flashes of the led. All happened with the ethernet cable connected to the dock.

Navigating to the Dock IP address in a browser afterwards provides this:

Solution

Remove dock (using remote) and re-add. The remote immediately discovered the dock, yet first time adding it failed. Second time it worked. Error on first trial mentioned an authentication issue, which is in sync with the recent addition of a password, prompted by the update of the Home Assistant integration...
