With Farsi the RTL is right aligned and although the numbers are Roman we have found that an 'extra' space is necessary for the numbers to be placed correctly. (Even using Roboto for the Target Language Font)
After I submitted the issue I realized that Chuck Liesch had informed me of this issue with Western Panjabi. Apparently it is not global in scope.
The manifest for Western Panjabi projects (code pnb) is incorrectly generated:
"id": "pnb",
"name": "Western Panjabi",
"direction": "ltr"
},
The direction should be rtl
.
Per the slack conversation, this information should be updated in translationDatabase, then tS can pull down the information.
I'm categorizing this as a bug report to add better support for RTL languages when editing text.
Although translationStudio handles rtl languages like Punjabi and Urdu, the text in the text box in translationStudio is left-justified instead of right. In addition, when verse markers are placed, 1) they are displayed in Roman type instead of using local numbers 2) they don't always display where expected.
