Tab Scrolling: Closing tab moves focus to front #189

Open bitrxjs opened 1 week ago

bitrxjs commented 1 week ago

When a tab is closed from the end and tab scrolling is enabled, instead of switching the focus to adjacent tab, the tab scrolls to the front. Because of this user have to click new tab to go back to last position.

I cannot reproduce this on 128.0.6613.119 locally, please test this again when the new version is released.

My flag setting: Enabled - tabs shrink to pinned tab width

@Cubik65536 tried on the same version, but its still happening. Are you testing with empty tabs?

I'll take a closer look later!

@bitrxjs Can you test if the Vanilla Google Chromium also behaves like this? You can download it here, directly extract the app and run it wherever (not Application folder) you want to avoid conflict with Ungoogled-Chromium.

I still cannot reproduce this in my environment.

P.S. The vanilla chromium would probably not behave as the UGC one because appspot provides the most recent (and unstable) version, but UGC follows the stable release. Maybe try with Google Chrome.

I did encounter some bug with tab scrolling on my side, but it does not behave as the video shows.

Choose the one corresponding to your Mac when downloading. Although I don't think it will, which one are you on?
