Not only the address box, but all context menus, quick settings, tab strip, and main menu have been made so huge it's unreal. The menu now has scrolling buttons on resolutions like 1600x800 and less (to make it harder to access settings since you have to scroll several times before the link appears, and if you have a touch screen, you can't scroll at all, you must press the button several times).
Now there's also a bunch of new "2023 refresh" flags:
This will be forcefully enabled everywhere, according to Google, and the flags removed, as always.

The problem
Since Chrome 115 came out, the address box was bigger than usual and because of that, chromium doesnt feel anymore like how it used to be. The Chromium/Google Chrome developers seem to destroy the browser more and more with unwanted changes.
Possible solutions
A solution to this is to make the experiment "Omnibox Steady State Height" disabled by default.
