The events page is rather intended for events mostly related to unhosted web apps. Just having one talk in there doesn’t really constitute an »unhosted« event I’d say. (Otherwise there’s SF JS, Tel Aviv JS, StuttgartJS, CologneJS, HHJS, JS Zurich, Munich JS, Portland JS, SIGINT, ehm etc. …)
Related events on the other hand would be the 5apps HTML5 hackathon or the remoteStorage weekend.
But the site says add yours.
I can assure you Datenspuren is fully in the spirit of owning your own data. Expect the DS2013 CfP soon!
ok, it's definitely useful if people can find out about DS through this page, especially the upcoming DS2013, because many people who read this will want to go if they can make it, and especially will want to get a chance to at least know about what is going on, and then decide for themselves whether they want to go or not.
but Jan is right about the distinction, maybe we want to list 'events that are (almost) entirely about unhosted web apps' and then 'more related events you don't want to miss', and then put DS and also Hacker Beach in the second category.
and also add 5hack and remoteStorage weekend to the first category, yes. i'll see how it looks with a 'related:' header, like the 'for geeks:' header we also put half-way the apps page
Michiel gave a talk there, then we recorded Pentacast 36.
