1.9.1.0 crashes with iTunes 9. #134

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Steps to reproduce problem:

1. Install iTunes 9 on Windows XP.
2. Start iPhoneBrowser with an iPhone (2g) plugged into a USB port.
3. Application crash will happen on application startup.

If an iPhone is not plugged in on application startup, it will crash once
you plug one into a USB port.

Problem appears to be the result of the manzana library failing.
Similar reports are appearing on the mananza issue tracker.

Same problem here, replicated on Vista 64bit with iPhone 3G or 3GS.

iPhone Explorer just released v0.96 which works with iTunes 9

iPhone Explorer doesnt allow access to root or mobile directories and only
allows
access to folders inside /private/var/mobile/Media

iPhone Browser allows full access to the entire folder structure of the iPhone
and
thus should be made compatible with iTunes 9.

Hope the developer makes this change.

Running iTunes 9, firmware 3.01 (not 3.1) on iPhone.

iPhone browser runs now but cannot detect iPhone! Tells me to disconnect and
reconnect, but doing so makes no difference.

Beta 1.9.3 works perfectly with new iTunes 9. Thanks!

1.9.3 still cannot see iPhone. But then neither can Picasa 3.5 or Vista.
iTunes 9.0
does however. Suspect underlying problem not necessarily related to
iPhoneBrowser.

Problem now sorted. There were two causes: Vista was not picking up the iPhone
at all,
though iTunes was. Deleted and re-installed the Apple Portable Device driver
under
Portable devices in Device Manager.

Thought I would uninstall iPB and install it again. Found in control panel
that I had
TWO VERSIONS installed. Uninstalled both, reinstalled 1.9.3, bingo, all
working again.

All thanks and kudos to NetMage.
