Is your Windows 7 x86 (32-bit) or 64-bit?
Did you upgrade your iTunes to 8.2 with your firmware upgrade to 3.0 b5?
iPhoneBrowser v1.81 crashed when run with iTunes 8.2.
Can you post the error message?

Same problem.
Windows 7 32-bit, RC 7100, iPhone firmware 2.2.1, latest version of iTunes.
iPhonebrowser opens up fine when iPhone is not connected, but the error message
appears as soon as you connect it.
Screenshot attached.

Could it be related to this?
http://i-funbox.com/blog/2009/06/afcgetfileinfo-is-missing-on-itunes-82/
(ifunbox is similar software to iphonebrowser)
"The recent release of iTunes 8.2 ship with an updated iTunesMobileDevice.dll
which
is slightly not compatible...At least, we found an important function
“AFCGetFileInfo” is removed from its exported functions. The function is
used to look
at the type (file or directory) of the entries of the filesystem as well as the
size
of the file, which is frequently used in file browsing applications like
iFunbox. Now
iFunbox got instantly crash after start up"

I had the exact same problem with vista 32bit, I got it working by replacing
the
iTunesMobileDevice.dll in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device
Support\Bin folder but then my iphone would not sync so had to re-instal itunes
8.2
as I did not back-up the dll file!!
I have tried everything and cannot find a solution.
In the end I downloaded DiskAid from
http://www.digidna.net/diskaid/download.php It
works no problem but you don't get e preview of the files.
So if you are really stuck I recommend you try DiskAid, it's also free.

Please try with v1.91 - this version works with Windows 7 32-bit and hopefully
Vista
PS Nice catch, jox...@hotmail.com, but v1.90 was specifically modified to work
around
that issue already.

What version of iTunes, what device, have you connected the device to iTunes?
Can you make sure you have uninstalled all previous version of iPhoneBrowser
before
installing 1.93 and trying again?

if you had problem with it running on W7/32 bits, try change icon property to
run it in Vista compatibility mode. That's how I solved my W7 problem

I had the same issue, then I found solution. I just installed iExplorer,
started (as demo), closed and uninstalled it. Then I installed again
iPhoneBrowser and now it works. Probably some DLL (or that Quicktime) was
missing.
