As EMS

I want to query the programmes plant databases for UG 14 and 15 and PG 15 for the keywords 'TOEFL' and 'Pearson' and produce a list of programmes that contain these references

So that the Publishing Officers can update details about these English language tests.

The fields to be queries are below:

UG fields:

PG fields:

Hi Angela,

Are there specific fields in the programmes plant where these words might appear? This would make it easier to query the database.

If you can put an issue for this in GitHub we can look at this next week (I’m also on leave after today until 4thAugust). Can you also let us know when you would require this output from the progs plant?

Thanks, Edele

Hi Edele, Lauren,

You may have heard that there have been changes to the University’s TOEFL and Pearson entry requirements.

As a lot of the programmes plant admins are away at the moment, the Publishing Office is going to have to check all the programme pages individually to check and update references to these tests quite urgently.

I just wondered if there is any way you could run a search over our programmes for ‘TOEFL’ and ‘Pearson’ and produce a list of programmes with these references in at all please?

If so, please could you let Zarina know as I am on leave after tomorrow. It would help speed up the checking process as they would need to check all the programmes in the undergraduate prospectuses (2014 and 2015) as well as Postgraduate (2015).

Thanks

@aw285-unikent are you still waiting for 2014 courses?

Updating this issue as Matthew sent through the courses for 2015.

See below:

Many thanks Matthew - Actually we do need to check 2014 too but looking at this I think we can safely just check the IFP programmes for 2014 - the entry requirements tab is going to be killed off during clearing anyway, isn't it?

Thanks so much, this has saved having to trawl through all the courses just to find a few offending programmes.

Hi Angela/Zarina,

So far as I can see, and using the fields from Angela, these are the courses you'll need to check for 2015 (I'm assuming for 2014 they'll just stay the same?) The ids are the unique ids used on the frontend, but you can search for the title in the backend.
