Defaults in drop-down lists #200

Hello, Can I request the following as an enhancement please? I think it may be included in another issue or story card along the way so apologies if this is duplicating but I can't find it in anything.

For some of the drop-down lists alphabetical is not the most appropriate. Please can the defaults be as follows:

Awarding institute or body: University of Kent Honours type: Single honours Administrative School: is it possible to have an empty field that just says something like "choose school" or "administrative school"? This will reduce the risk of it being left on Centre for American Studies accidentally Location: Canterbury

Hi @frithassell Yep this was included in another issue although I can't find it. Anyway you can very simply tick the 'allow blank default' tickbox on the field setup page. eg. https://webtools.kent.ac.uk/programmes/ug/fields/programmes/edit/6

However the drop downs which automatically pull values from somewhere else will always be ordered alphabetically.

Yes I think so - there are still some parts I'd like to change in an ideal world but if anything comes back from the training sessions I can always open a separate ticket in Footprints. Thanks
