Because they are all chaotic monkeys who end up in the wrong places... If a user ends up on /login without going via identity first they will be missing configuration provided by the server. 2 options, raise an error to reaffirm their dodgy life choices, or just redirect to / to start the login flow correctly. The last is perhaps less trolly 😅
